These drawings were completed between 2007 - 2009 as I explored the idea of "plausible but imagined landscapes." They are comprised of familiar forms that invite the viewer to exist in these spaces, without dictating the experience. My primary use of pastel arose after many years of painting with oil and acrylic. The material is immediate and contemplative, bold and surprisingly gentle, energetic and calming, and lends it's self to my process of creation.
